Campsites are generally no longer simply fields in which to camp. These days they are generally much better equipped than in days gone by. This is reflected in the prices now being charges for staying on some of today’s sites. However some would still say it’s not much fun paddling around a muddy campsite in the rain. La Parisienne ‘leisure car’ offers the possibility of a new type of holidaying – if it’s nice weather its great to use the vehicle on a campsite or even wild camping. With La Parisienne you have the freedom to do what you want; use B&B and hotels when you wish i.e. – bad weather – stop over in town – take in a ‘show’ – whatever. ‘You simply have a car’. Owners of larger, more expensive motor caravans seem to feel they have to camp in them at all times to justify spending so much on their vehicle. La Parisienne is a new type of vehicle – a ‘leisure car’ a proper four-seat Citroën Berlingo multi space estate car, not a commercial vehicle. For those into sports or recreational pursuits like climbing – walking – skiing – painting – mountain biking – whatever, La Parisienne makes an ideal day base vehicle to;_ make a ‘cuppa’ – have a ‘snooze’ - or simply ‘relax’. A tow bar can also be fitted if required.

For those who love to travel La Parisienne is a proper four-seat car, but equipped like a normal motor caravan. Driving is an inexpensive pleasure and just great on long continental runs.
Many requirements were detailed in our design brief. The basic requirement was simply to produce a vehicle that would fit a ‘niche market’. A vehicle that could be used as a car or picnic vehicle, estate car, camper without compromise such as beds being too short or headroom being restricted. The resulting vehicle La Parisienne is a vehicle that looks good and works well. La Parisienne has been designed using the S.M.M.T Motor Caravan Code of Practice for Habitation requirements relating to health and safety as guidelines, plus relevant European T.U.V regulations, as part of La Parisienne design brief. La Parisienne is also built to high motor vehicle standards with ‘E’ marked tinted safety glass fitted as standard.
TESTING TIMES:
Lifestyle Vehicle Developments are known to use their products in order to continually improve them. Our opinion is that only by using a product in all conditions is it possible to ‘fine tune’ a concept to work properly.
Please note that we feel La Parisienne has been deigned as a ‘balanced package’. It is not intended to be a ‘full blown’ camper crammed into a car. However it is a sensible ergonomic design and very user friendly.

View from above showing one of the two single beds made up, it also shows one of the front seats swivelled to face the rear seat with the table in between. It also shows the catch trays which are as the name suggest to catch the roof canvas when the roof closes, however you can also you this for working / storage space when the roof is up. The driver's seat can also swivel.
